Applies To: BluePrint Engines SBC, BBC, SBF, and Mopar Crate Engines ## Overview Oil pressure will vary based on engine temperature, oil viscosity, engine speed (RPM), bearing clearances, and gauge accuracy. Because of these variables, there is no single oil pressure specification that applies to every BluePrint engine. A stable oil pressure reading that increases with RPM is more important than achieving an exact pressure value. > ### *** Important: Use non-synthetic oil only during the break-in period. BluePrint Engines recommends SAE 30 Break-In Oil for break-in and 10W-30 conventional (non-synthetic) oil for normal operation after break-in.
