This connector is for use ONLY with an OEM style, late model GM LS alternator that requires an exciter wire for operation
If the engine is purchased with the pulley kit from BluePrint Engines or you are using another aftermarket “one wire alternator,” this wire is NOT NEEDED and can be terminated.
