      What thermostat is installed or recommended?

      A 180° thermostat equipped with a bypass is recommended.


      BluePrint Engines recommends a 180° thermostat on your engine. Safe operating temperatures can range from 180°-220°.  Long blocks and base dressed engines do not come with a thermostat installed. We offer a 180° thermostat for our SBC, BBC, Chrysler 408s, and SBF engines:
